He got out and walked around the Jeep to the exhaust stack. I was sure Garrett was going to get a ticket for the loud exhaust. I asked the sheriff what we did wrong and he said, `I don't know, but I'm so jealous that somebody's getting a ticket.' He then asked a lot of questions about the build and said he was hoping to do something similar in the future."

Other: Mark says, "I've been involved with diesels since 1975. Our first car was one of the first diesel Oldsmobiles in Baltimore--a '78 Cutlass Salon two-door fastback with a 260ci V-8. I fell in love with it and proceeded to convert my D150 Dodge pickup to a diesel with an Olds 350 V-8, a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission, and 2.91:1 gearing, resulting in 30 mpg. I bought more 5.7L diesel cars and began doing work for others. I later moved to 6.2L Suburbans, Jimmys, dump trucks, and flatbeds. I was given a 243ci Mitsubishi engine and bought several IH Nissan Scout engines. Now I am mainly involved with Cummins and Mercedes diesels."
